Equality Now and Asia Network to End FGM/C have intensified their work to stop female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) across South Asia by creating a detailed Call to Action that brought attention to the various obstacles standing in the way of eradicating this issue, as well as organizing a webinar that amplified the voices of women who have directly been effected by FGM/C. At the Beijing +30 Ministerial Conference, they urged governments to uphold women’s rights, strengthen legal protections, expand awareness campaigns, and prioritize data collection—critical steps toward achieve for the goal of ending FGM/C by 2030.
