Morocco: Increased women rights in proposed family law reforms

The Moroccan State conducted a review of the family code that will give women more rights in divorce proceedings, custody of their children, guardianship, inheritance laws, and the ability to veto polygamy in their marriage contract. The draft code has more than 100 amendments that will be submitted to parliament for approval.
