The Council of Europe has launched an online training course to strengthen efforts against child sexual exploitation and abuse, unveiled during the 44th plenary meeting of the Lanzarote Committee. The course is designed for legal and justice professionals, offering guidance on international standards, particularly those outlined in the Lanzarote Convention. Given the evolving nature of these crimes, including online abuse, the training highlights best practices in prevention and response. The course is part of the Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) Programme and it is available in English and French for free. With over 220,000 users already enrolled in HELP courses, this initiative aims to equip professionals with the tools needed to protect children more effectively.
