Battered Mothers Resource Fund, Inc. (BMRF) is a U.S. nonprofit tax-exempt organization dedicated to assisting battered mothers and their children in finding safe haven and community resources to help them make a fresh start. BMRF operates a toll free hotline 1-866-592-7870. The hotline is staffed by volunteers, who provide referrals to domestic violence shelters and other community services available for women and their children in all 50 states of the U.S. An extensive resource database is maintained and utilized by hotline.
The website also supports a “Grants to Shelters” program. This program provides pre-approved shelters with cash and/or store vouchers to assist women and children with obtaining food, housing, clothes, shoes, school supplies, etc.
