The Advocates' staff attorney Beatriz Menanteau presented at the 18th annual WAVE Conference in Berlin, Germany. Beatriz presented on two panels: “Victim-safety oriented work with perpetrators – Implementing standards from the Istanbul Convention,” describing The Advocates' recent report on Batterer Intervention Programs and six key characteristics for effective batterer intervention programs; and “Holding states accountable for protecting women from violence – using human rights law to implement due diligence,” describing The Advocates' collaboration with partners to conduct advocacy at the United Nations.
