US: Meta limits access to information on reproductive health

Meta is facing active criticism for resticting posts from abortion pill providers. Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022, social media platforms have been punished for moderating and restricting  reproductive health content. Meta recently announced plans to loosen restrictions, raising both concerns about misinformation and hopes for open discussion. However, critics report increased restrictive policies targeting providers like Aid Access and Women Help Women. Meta attributes this to policies against drug sales but admits to enforcement mistakes. While some accounts were restored, this limitative approach is still hindering access to critical healthcare information.
