According to the U.N. Department of Economic and Social Affairs' just-released "Gender Snapshot 2023," the goal of achieving gender equality by 2030 is impossible, due to global, deeply rooted biases against women in health, education, employment and governmental power. The report assesses the situation on 17 goals, and blames under-investment of resources and active resistance.
