Ukraine has faced a mass of women fleeing to find refuge in different countries as a result of its war with Russia. A year and a half after the war began, an estimated 2.8 million women of working age have fled Ukraine. With Ukraine hoping for post-war rehabilitation, the return of women will be crucial to post-conflict recovery. The government has provided some incentives to induce women to return, including improved labor laws, smaller gender pay gaps, and business grants.
