Serbian Court Sentences Perpetrator of Trafficking in Humans

The District Court of Pancevo, Serbia found Paunovic Zika, a.k.a. Rvak, guilty for trafficking in human beings under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Serbia.  The court increased Zika's original sentence of nine months to a sentence of one year.  Zika was also required to pay court expenses.  The plaintiff in the case was represented by an attorney from ASTRA, an anti-trafficking action organization.
