The Center for Equality Advancement organizes projects and programs in the field of equal opportunities for men and women, including the National Violence Against Women Monitor Project for Lithuania. The Center also collaborates with international, national and local community non-governmental institutions in the field of gender equality.
Dr. Vilana Pilinkaite-Sotirovic will take the leading role in managing the STOPVAW country page for Lithuania. Dr. Vilana Pilinkaite-Sotirovic defended her PhD thesis on Family Structures and Strategies in the Nineteenth-Century Lithuania at the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. Since 2005, she has worked as the project coordinator at the Center for Equality Advancement in Vilnius. Her scientific interests include gender relations in the family and society in the historical perspective.
