A new report, entitled “Sexual Harassment at Work: National and International Responses,” was released by the Conditions of Work and Employment Program at the International Labour Organization. The author, Dierdre McCann, is a labour lawyer who conducts research on the legal regulation of working conditions. The report assesses the worldwide effort to prevent and combat sexual harassment in the workplace. It looks at regional and international instruments, domestic legislation and the role of social organizations and NGOs. The report also identifies what responsibilities the employer has, as well as the most effective measures and policies a company can take to prevent and combat this form of sexual harassment.
