New Report Reveals Patterns of Domestic Violence Against Older Women

According to the study’s survey of institutions in participating countries, although it was found that most facilities dealt with fewer cases involving older women, experts agreed that older female victims of IPV face particular difficulties in the termination of a long-term abusive relationship. The study also found that most older women experiencing IPV reported a long history of such violence. The study examined trends in help-seeking by older female victims of IPV and the types of services they receive.
