The group Front for Women's Rights in Mexico has submitted an official request to meet with the Yucatán governor to discuss how efforts of violence against women can be improved. The activist group wants for the Secretariat for Women (Semujeres) to be improved, as they consider that officials are not properly trained to adress and protect women's rights. The Front wants clarity and action from the local government while Semujeres also pushes for clearer actions plans and a budget to protect women's human rights to address the issue of violence against women.
