The Canadian Government has provided $18.3 million to Nova Scotia to implement programs proposed in the province's November 2022 gender-based violence plan. Community groups receiving grants include Peer Outreach Support Services and Education (POSSE) and Mi'kmaw Native Friendship Centre, to address problems of human trafficking and sexual violence.
