BiH: New legislation strengthens protections for domestic violence survivors

The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has introduced a new law to enhance protections for victims of domestic violence and gender-based violence. The initiative focuses on improving prevention, protection, and support systems for survivors. Civil society organizations have commended these efforts but also stress the need for continuous monitoring and effective implementation. The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina welcomed the changes, emphasizing their importance for advancing human rights and gender equality.
