The 20th annual Women against Violence Europe (WAVE) conference took place November 16 to 19, 2014 in Vienna, Austria. The conference addressed a number of issues, such as prevention of violence against women by the health sector, children and domestic violence, experiences of survivors, violence against lesbians, and other issues.
The Advocates for Human Rights presented along with its Moldovan partner, Women’s Law Center. The Advocates presented on the core elements of strong domestic violence legislation, as well as how to monitor implementation of domestic violence laws. The Women’s Law Center presented on the status of Moldova’s domestic violence laws, their implementation and recommendations.
