Australia: Prime Minister Issues New Domestic Violence Action Plan

The Prime Minister of Australia has released a new action plan intended to reduce domestic and sexual violence against women and children across the country. According to the Australian government, the plan focuses on “six priority areas -- early intervention, improved support for Indigenous women, greater choice for women leaving domestic violence, an increased focus on sexual violence, support for children living with violence and perpetrator intervention programs.”
