Civil society, including Women's Resource Center of Armenia, has successfully advocated for significant legislative changes to enhance women's reproductive rights in the country. On July 12, the National Assembly adopted amendments to the law on women’s reproductive health allowing for medical abortions up to the 8th week of pregnancy to be performed in licensed medical organizations, including out-of-hospital settings. This change both improves accessibility and increases choices for women seeking abortions, underscoring the impact of persistent advocacy and collaboration in advancing women's health and rights in Armenia.
