At the 17th General Assembly of the European Women's Lobby that took place in Prague on October 21-22 , Croatian feminists joined the Network. Two new national co-ordinations, the Macedonian Women's Lobby and the Women's Network Croatia, as well as the European Confederation of Independent Trade Unions (CESI), were welcomed into full membership of the European Women's Lobby. Well-known Croatian women's human rights activists Rada Boric, Nela Pamukovic and the coordinator of Women's Network Croatia Bojana Genov, attended the General Assembly in Prague. The Women's Network Croatia presently joins together about 40 women's organizations and, after having joined the EWL, they will be taking an active role in ensuring that women's rights and gender equality are priorities in future negotiations regarding EU accession. Before the General Assembly meeting, the EWL organized a seminar taking place on October 20th in Prague, entitled "Who Cares? Care Issues in Europe from a Gender Perspective."
