The Gender Equality Agency of the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in co-operation with the OSCE/ODIHR and the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, organised a two-day regional workshop „Implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 - Women, Peace and Security in South-East Europe“, from 20-21.09.2006, in hotel „Terme“, Ilidža.

Jasmila Zbanic’s film GRBAVICA has been nominated for EUROPEAN FILM 2006. Mirjana Karanovic, the actress who plays the role of Esma (the main role in the movie that tells the story about a woman war rape survivor and her daughter Sara) has been nominated for EUROPEAN ACTRESS 2006. 
BH National Conference on Combating Violence against Women and Children

The Conference on Combating Violence against Women and Children was a one-day event in Sarajevo held on 30 October 2006. It is organized by the Women’s Association Medica Zenica – Infoteka and UNICEF. Participants of the Conference are professionals from institutions and NGO representatives who were involved in the training program “A Multidisciplinary Approach to Combating Domestic Violence and Other Forms of Violence against Women and Children" in the last seven years (1999-2006), as well as representatives of state and governing institutions.

The Kolo: WCCC since March 1999 implemented an engendered psychosocial educational trauma treatment and training format that also provided skills for Conflict Evolution.
