“Ikar” Association, in partnership with “Nadya Centre” Foundation, organized the first ever theatre-forum “Law is Not Enough” in Rouse. The city of Rouse is the first city in the country in which this event is going to happen. After that, the theatre will be performed in ten other cities.
The main theme is discrimination in the workplace. The play itself is based upon true stories. After the performance, a discussion is going to be held in which women who were involved in workplace discrimination will give opinions and advice.
The aim of the project is to support women and to encourage them to defend their labour rights. In order for the project to have the maximum effect on the women, two lawyers are taking part as well. They will provide free legal consultation on issues about labour and discrimination. The project “Law is Not Enough” is supported by the Democracy Trust for Central and Eastern Europe.
