On October 24, 2008, The Advocates for Human Rights launched the report Domestic Violence in Tajikistan, written in 2006 and updated in 2008.  The report was sponsored by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and was translated into Tajik and Russian by The Advocates’ partner in Tajikistan, PROVAW NGO.  The report provides 19 specific recommendations on aspects of the Tajik government’s response to violence against women, including collecting statistics and training police and medical providers.
