At the end of October 2005, the technical assistance agreement within the project "Enhancement of the policies of equal treatment of women and men" (PHARE 2002) was signed. The agreement is based on the cooperation of consortium LRDP Ltd./Pentor/Eficom and the Secretariat of the Government Plenipotentiary for Equal Status of Women and Men.

The effect of the agreement is the National Monitoring System of Equal Treatment of Women and Men found on the website http://www.monitoring.rownystatus.gov.pl/ (so far in Polish only).

The National Monitoring System of Equal Treatment of Women and Men is an analytical tool which aims at supporting Polish new initiatives in social policy, mainly those in the area of equal rights of women and men. The system provides statistical data that enable to compare the situation of women and men in many areas of political and social activity, i.e. labour market, educational opportunities, demography, life conditions and poverty, health etc.

At the website, one may also find the detailed list of Polish sociological and demographical academic works and reports on gender equality matters.
