An editorial in The Financial Times says men's lack of respect toward women is leading to a huge global challenge: population explosion and the additional issues it raises. Money won't solve all of the problems, but a shift in social attitudes, improving women's status in the world and bettering women's access to education and health care are critical in facing the challenge, the editorial says.
